How We Use Your Assessment and Learning Data

Last updated: June 2026

This page explains specifically how we collect and use your learning activity data — including quiz attempts, course progress, completion records and certificates. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What Learning Data We Collect

  • Course progress: Which lessons you have viewed and when, your completion percentage per course
  • Quiz attempts: Your answers to quiz questions, scores, pass/fail outcomes and number of attempts
  • Certificate records: The date of course completion and the unique certificate number issued
  • Enrolled courses: Which courses you are enrolled in and your enrolment date

How We Use Learning Data

To provide the service

Your progress data is used to show you where you are in each course, remember which lessons you have completed, calculate your course completion percentage and unlock your certificate when you finish a course.

To issue certificates

Completion data is used to generate your certificate of completion, including your name, the course title, the completion date and a unique certificate number that can be verified.

To improve the Platform

We may analyse anonymised, aggregated learning data (not identifiable to individuals) to understand which parts of courses are most challenging, where learners drop off, and how to improve course design. No individually identifiable assessment data is shared externally for this purpose.

Quiz Data and Confidentiality

Your individual quiz answers and scores are stored securely in our database. They are not shared with your employer, the GPhC, or any third party unless you explicitly export or share your own record. Your quiz performance is private to you.

Certificate Verification

Certificates issued by the Platform include a unique certificate number. We may provide a simple verification service that allows third parties (such as employers) to confirm a certificate is genuine, using only the certificate number and the learner's name. No other personal data is disclosed through verification.

Data Retention

Your course progress and completion records are retained for a minimum of 7 years to support your professional development records and CPD portfolio. You may request deletion of your account and associated data subject to our retention obligations — see our Privacy Policy for your rights.

Your Control

You can view all your learning data through your dashboard. To request a copy or deletion of your data, contact us.
